Bavarian trade show in Cape Town
Germany’s federal state of Bavaria will host a trade show at the Artscape from 9-18 June.
Bavaria and the Western Cape have had a formal bilateral trade partnership since 1995. During a visit by a Bavarian government delegation, led by Siegfried Schneider in February 2009, the idea of presenting a distinctive trade show in Cape Town during the World Cup soccer tournament in 2010 was born.
The purpose of the "Bavaria meets the Western Cape" expo is to display the diverse bilateral cooperation between the trading partners and offer German and local business people the opportunity to develop it.
On Thursday Western Cape Minister of Finance, Economic Development & Tourism Alan Winde formally announced the expo at the first meeting of the German-South African Chamber of Business in Cape Town.
