The country has ten international airports and a total of 86% of air cargo passes through the OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport. Transport contributes between seven percent and 13% to GDP. The unprecedented passenger and freight vehicle sales in South Africa reflect the economic growth in recent years which has put extraordinary presure on the transport and logistic systems.
